In 1990 Sharon Lurtsema, a longtime Tucsonan, moved to New York City to be a nanny. She had a great experience caring for a family with four boys. She is still very close to that family and they stay in constant contact. In 1992 Sharon returned to Tucson to open The Choice Care Agency. The agency originally placed only permanent nannies but has expanded to cover all of your household needs and then some. Sharon has placed thousands of caregivers nationwide.

In 2003, The Star 200 Survey recognized Sharon Lurtsema with the Top 10 “Young Gun” Entrepreneur Award. The Choice Care Agency has been listed in the top ten Woman-Owned business for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006.
